About 9 to 3 Lab
What if the hours between school drop-off and pick-up were enough to build something meaningful — not just for profit, but for purpose?
Karl Marx once imagined that when the forces of production advanced enough, humanity could finally be freed from repetitive labor to pursue work that truly fulfills us. With the rise of artificial intelligence and automation, I often wonder — are we edging closer to that possibility?
After 17 years in engineering and product management, I stepped away from corporate life to focus on family, health, and finding a more sustainable rhythm. Being a full-time mum allowed me to slow down, take care of what matters, and gradually rediscover what energizes me: solving problems, creating, and building tools that make daily life easier.
It began with a simple pickup queueing app. Then came a realization — I found deep enjoyment in the “mum hours” between 9 and 3. The mental clarity of working in focused blocks, the satisfaction of problem-solving, and the flow of coding felt purposeful and fulfilling. It’s a rhythm that works for both life and creativity.
Why 9 to 3 ?
Today, with the help of AI assistants and powerful automation tools, it’s easier than ever to turn ideas into polished products — without a massive team or a rushed timeline. I founded 9 to 3 Lab to do just that: build thoughtful, high-quality tools that address real problems faced by women, especially mums.
Unlike the fast-paced startup world that rushes to market, seeks rapid exits, and often prioritizes profit over people — I’ve chosen a different path. At my age, I’m more interested in building steadily and intentionally. I care about quality, usefulness, and empathy in design. I want to create features that truly support women — not just another app for the app store, but something that respects your time, your needs, and your life.
9 to 3 Lab is where I devote my focused hours to building technology that empowers women — starting with LadyFast, a wellness and fasting app that aligns with real hormonal rhythms and busy lives.
Welcome to 9 to 3 Lab — where mindful development meets meaningful impact, one carefully built tool at a time.
